Wang Tian, the Chairman of Better Life Group and Smart Monkey.

Born in 1968 in Xiangxiang, Hunan province, Wang Tian established Xiangtan BBG Food co., ltd (former company of Better Life Group) and set up the first supermarket in Hunan province in 1995. According to his strategy, Better Life opened its branch stores in municipalities first to achieve its layout in the whole of Hunan province.  

In 2004, Better Life Group entered Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, to compete with provincial barons as well as the world’s retail giants like Wal-Mart and Carrefour. It opened its department store this year.

In 2005, Better Life Group opened up the market of Jiangxi province under the leadership of Mr. Wang Tian.

In 2008, Mr. Wang decided to make Better Life Group listed and succeeded in Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code 002251).

In 2010, Better Life Group initiated its business in commercial real estate and set up Better Life Properties Co., Ltd.

In 2013, Better Life Group launched a strategy of open its business in southwest China in Guangxi, Chongqing and Sichuan provinces.

In 2013, Better Life gets involved in E-commerce, which has become a model transformation of China retailing industry.

In 2014, Better Life Group upgraded its E-commerce service by building a new system named Smart Monkey, which aims at to be the best O2O convenient platform in China.

In 2015, Global Resourcing came into being in Smart Monkey. Mr. Wang Tian proposed a goal of becoming the No.1 crossing-boarding resources platform in China.

Major social positions: the 10th, 11th and 12th National People’s Congress representative, the vice-chairman of the China Chain Association, the vice-chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce in Hunan province, and the vice-chairman of the E-Commerce Association in Hunan province.
